Pool Reminders

Please keep in mind that the pool is open Tuesday through Sunday from 10am till 9pm except for Mondays it opens at 12:00 pm and closes at 9pm. No one under the age of 16 is allowed in the pool area without a resident over the age of 18 to supervise.

No Glass of any kind is permitted at the pool. Please do not climb the pool gate for any reason, if you are unable to gain entry into the pool area please come into the leasing office or contact emergency maintenance so one of your staff members can assist you.

Resident Networking

Do you have something to sell, a service to provide, or a community service you would like to offer? This is a great way to network with others at The Gardens. Sign onto our website at thegardensliving.com. Click on Resident on the top of the home page and Community Forum. This is a great way to advertise if you are looking for a babysitter, or if want to babysit, sell Mary Kay, Pampered Chef, or would like to pet sit. Please remember to check out the forum as new posts are made.

Book Club: We tried sometime ago with little success to start a book club. We have had a few inquires so we thought we would try again. The book club would meet Tuesday from 6:30 to 7:30 pm on the internet Café. If you would like to be part of this club please email jswiney@hhhunt.com.


Congratulations to all of The Gardens High School graduates this year. If your child has graduated this year we would love to feature them in our newsletter. Please email their name and plans after graduation to lamoore@hhhunt.com so they can be featured in the next newsletter!

Congratulations to Janine Swiney whose daughter Sarah graduated last month and will studying pre med at the University of Tennessee in the fall, GO Vols and go Sarah!!!!

  1. Please be mindful of your neighbors below when watering plants on your balcony. If you notice a lot of water and/or dirt falling below, please put the indoor/outdoor carpet on your balcony so that does not happen.
  2. If you smoke please do not toss a cigarette into the mulch as this can start a fire.
  3. If you have a pet please make sure to dispose of pet waste in the fido bags and place in trash bins, do not place these used bags outside your front door.
  4. Please watch your speed when driving through the community. does not happen.

Paying Online

We strongly encourage each of you to pay your rent online at thegardensliving.com. You can pay your rent and water at one time. This saves you writing a check and allows you to pay at your convenience. For residents who pay with a check their will be no fee! Each month we will have a rent drawing and someone who paid their rent online will receive a $25.00 gift card.

Summer Corn Tomato Salad


1 pound bow-tie pasta
2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
2 garlic cloves, smashed
1 pint cherry tomatoes
3 ears fresh corn, kernels cut off
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, torn into pieces


1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta until al dente; drain.
2. Meanwhile, in a large skillet , heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the garlic and tomatoes and cook, stirring occasionally, until the tomatoes are softened, about 5 minutes. Stir in the corn, raise the heat slightly and cook until the corn is heated through and golden, about 5 minutes. Season to taste with salt.
3. Add the vegetables, butter and basil to the pasta and toss.

Pest Control

Western Pest is scheduled for pest control the following days: June 10th, and June 24th. If you need them to come to your home, please call our office and we will put you on the list.

Water Bills Reminder

Your water bills should now be coming to you on a monthly basis. You will pay your water bill with your monthly rent. The bills will still come from Yes Energy, but you will pay directly to our office or online.

Pest Control

Western Pest is scheduled for pest control the following days: May 13th, May 27th, June 10th, and June 24th. If you need them to come to your home, please call our office and we will put you on the list.

Trash Fee Increase

Please be advised that the trash fee on your water bill will be increasing from $7.50 per month to $9.99 beginning July 2nd. This fee is still much lower then the average in our area.

Emergency Maintenance

During Office Hours, you may request service by phoning the rental office at 804-364-6300. We strive to have all service requests completed within 24 hours after they have been reported to our office. In some cases, a part may not be available or an outside contractor may be required. Every effort will be made to fulfill your request as soon as possible.

We are also pleased to offer our residents 24 hour emergency maintenance service. Below you will find a detailed list of what is considered a true maintenance emergency after regular office hours.

  • Fire (call 911 first!)
  • Flood
  • Loss of Electricity or Gas (except when due to non-payment of bill)
  • Loss of Refrigeration
  • Waterline Break or sewer back-up
  • Toilet clogged
  • Breach of Security (i.e. lock not working properly, break-in)
  • HVAC
  • An odor of Gas
  • Beeping of smoke detectors

If you experience any of the above listed problems in your apartment, please call the 24 hour emergency maintenance phone number at 804-364-6300. Please leave a detailed message including your apartment number, name and phone number. A member of our staff will return your call as soon as possible.
