Spring Forward

Time to spring forward March 13th at 2am!!!!

Office Hours

The office will be closed Thursday, March 10th, for an Employee Seminar.

The office will be closed Friday, March 25th, in observance of Good Friday and Sunday, March 27th, in observance of Easter.

Fishing Day

Join The Gardens Team at the Pond on Tuesday, March 29th, from 11am until 1pm for our annual fishing day (weather permitting). The Gardens Team will supply worms; you supply your fishing poles. We will be grilling hotdogs and will have drinks. What a great way to celebrate spring break. As always, this is a catch-and-release event.

Please do not place any trash outside your front door; this includes bags, boxes, and pet waste bags. This is very unsightly for your neighbors and can attract pests. If you have someone who is in violation of this, please let the office know, and we will immediately contact them. We want you to be able to enjoy your home.

The trash cans provided at the mailbox areas are for junk mail only. Please do not place your regular household trash inside this area. Your regular trash should be taken to the compactor area.

Please make sure you clean up after your pet at all times, even inside the dog park. If you notice that the grass area in front of your building looks brown, it may be from pet urine. Please help us by walking your pets away from building entrances and don’t always walk them in the same area. We do have pet waste bags provided on the community to aid in the pick up of waste. Thank you for helping keep the area clean.

Please drive slowly through the community and stop at all stop signs.

St. Pattys Day Recipe: Irish Potato Farls

"The word farl originates from the Gaelic word fardel meaning four parts. These potato griddle breads can be made with leftover mashed potatoes too. Serve hot with a little butter and salt, or fry them alongside soda bread as part of an Ulster Fry-up."

4 medium Potatoes, peeled and halved
¼ cup all-purpose flour, some extra for dusting
1 tablespoon melted butter
1 pinch of salt

In a pot, cover potatoes with water and bring to a boil over high heat. Simmer on medium-high heat until the center of the potatoes are tender when pricked with a fork, about 20 minutes. Turn off heat. Drain, return potatoes to pot and allow to completely dry out over remaining heat. Mash with a potato masher until smooth.

Place warm mashed potatoes in medium bowl. Stir in flour, salt and melted butter. Mix lightly until dough forms.

On a well-floured surface, knead the dough lightly. The dough will be sticky. Use a floured rolling pin to flatten into a 9-inch circle about 1/4 inches thick. Cut into quarters using a floured knife.

Sprinkle a little flour into the base of the skillet and cook the farls for 3 minutes on each side or until evenly browned. Season with a little salt and serve straight away.

Ever wonder what to do with mail that comes to your mailbox and does not belong to you? Write “moved” on the mail and put it back where the outgoing mail goes. This should alert the post office of the wrong tenant mail being delivered.
